Day 1

Arrival in Colombo – Negombo | Beautiful Beach Destination

• Arrive at Colombo International Airport. You can Meet the representative of our company at the Colombo International Airport arrival corridor. The representative will be your private driver cum guide for the entire vacation tour in Sri Lanka. You will be transferred to the beach Hotel in Negombo. Rest of the day at your leisure.

   

• Negambo is a characteristic fishing town north of Colombo, it is more than 6 Km from the international airport. Negombo is a gourmet paradise with seafood in plenty. Old-world fishing craft like the outrigger canoe and the catamaran bring seer, skipjack, herring and mullet, pomfret & amber jack, while lobster & prawn are caught in the lagoon.

Day 2

Negombo – Anuradhapura | The 1st Kingdom of Sri Lanka

• You will transfer to Anuradhapura. En-route take short break and visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala is an institution that has been looking after orphaned or injured elephants that would otherwise have surely died. Watch the elephant’s bath in the river.
• Travel to Anuradhapura, and visit Anuradhapura Cultural site. Anuradhapura is the birthplace of Sinhala civilization and one of the world’s largest archeological sites. It is considered as the greatest monastic city of the ancient world, and was founded in the 5th century BC.

Day 3

Anuradhapura – Polonnaruwa | The 2nd Kingdom of Sri Lanka

• You will explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. It was the second capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centres of this island’s cultural heritage. In its prime, the city, inside its 3½ miles-strong encircling walls, housed hundreds of thousands of people.
• In the afternoon, you will experience a 4×4 Jeep Safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park, this is the place where you can see the Largest Asian Elephant Gathering in the World.

Day 4

Sigiriya | The Lion Kingdom, UNESCO Heritage

• You will explore climbing to 1200 steps in Sigiriya Rock fortress early in the morning. Sigiriya, One of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating UNESCO world heritage sites. No matter how often you climb to the summit of this one-time hilltop fortress of the maverick Sinhalese king, Kassapa, the pleasure barely diminishes because of the abandon spectacular views at the summit.
• Visit Pidurangala Rock temple, Pidurangala is an ancient Buddhist temple, built on a massive rock, located five minutes away from Sigiriya Rock fortress.

Day 5

Sigiriya – Kandy | The Last Kingdom of Sri Lanka

• You will proceed your Culture Heritage Sri Lanka tour to hill Country of Sri Lanka. On your way you will stop at Dambulla to visit Golden Temple and Largest Cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. Golden Rock is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century .BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist mythology and the tales of the Buddha’s previous births. The caves house the largest collection of Buddha statues in one place.
• You will proceed your journey to Kandy. En-route you will stop to visit the Ayurveda Herbal and spice garden. On your arrival to Kandy you will visit Sri Dalanda Maligawa also known as ‘Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic’. Kandy, The city was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and today is a World Heritage Site. You can watch a Kandyan devil and fire dance show in the evening.

Day 6

Kandy – Colombo City | The Commercial Capital of Sri Lanka

• This day will your last day in Sri Lanka. Morning you will have a city tour in Kandy visiting gemological museum, arts and crafts, Silk and Batik and the shopping before leave Kandy. Visit Royal Botanical Garden and tea factory and tea shop. You will proceed your trip to Colombo and short city tour in Colombo. Proceed to the Colombo airport on time for the departure flight.
