Day 1

Airport – Pinnwala – Sigiriya

• Meet our company’s representative (tourist driver/guide) at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport and go to Sigiriya.
• Stop along the way and see the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
  See elephants bathing in the river and try feeding elephants food.
• Move on to Sigiriya, check into your hotel, and rest up.
• Overnight stay in Sigiriya

Day 2

Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa

• Visit Pidurangala Rock and see the sunrise early in the morning.
• Climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s most interesting UNESCO world heritage sites, and going up 1200 steps.
• Travel to Polonnaruwa and see the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. It was the second capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD.
• Go back to the hotel in Sigiriya and take your time.
• Overnight stay in Sigiriya

Day 3

Sigiriya – Kandy

• After breakfast, go to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s last royal kingdom.
• Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and the Golden Temple on the way.
  It is the biggest cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. It was built in the 1st century BC.
  Its rock ceiling is covered with colourful frescoes that show stories from Buddhist mythology.
• Matale is where you can see the Ayurvedic herb and spice garden and the Sri Muttumari Amman temple.
• When you get to Kandy, you can visit to the Temple of the tooth relic.
• Visit the Bahiravakanda Buddha statue and look out over Kandy from a viewpoint.

Day 4

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

• After breakfast travel to Nuwara Eliya (Little England)

• Visit the Beautiful Ramboda waterfall
• Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and walk into Nuwara Eliya city

Nuwara Eliya – Ella
